On Tuesday, October 2nd, Star Mountain Capital and Charitable Foundation sponsored An Evening to Support Refugees to fundraise for Indego Africa, an organization designed to empower Congolese refugees.
Indego Africa seeks to bring its Economic Inclusion for Refugees program to the Kigeme Refugee Camp in Rwanda, and with additional funding the organization can provide 40-50 Congolese women with the livelihood opportunities they need to grow their own business. 100% of donations will be given to support these women and give them the skills needed to manage an independent artisan business.
Chris Birosak, a Partner and Investment Committee Member at Star Mountain, also serves as the Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors for Indego Africa.
